
Dr. Cleavon Matthews Sr
Serves as the Executive Director of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. He is a prolific orator, communicator, and author. He is highly sought after and accomplished as a person of influence. He is academically accomplished having obtained the Doctor of Ministry degree from Amridge University. He is also a Registered Nurse and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. Through his ministries he continues do extensive work in church consulting and premarital counseling. He has written several publications including three books: Get In The God Zone, and co-authored Unmasking The Satanic Attack Against Masculinity, and Bad Girls Are In The Church Too along with Minister Wesley T. Leonard. Dr. Matthews serves as Chairman of the Midwest Lectureship. He also founded and serves as Chairman of Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Dr. Matthews with God’s divine guidance is the owner of Practical Solutions Counseling. He is an avid golfer and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc. He resides in Dayton, OH. He ministers to the Bold Believers Church of Christ in Dayton, OH where he has served for the last twenty years.


Deborah Andrews
Serves as the President of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. Deborah holds a BS in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Organizational Management from Wilberforce University. She retired as Director of the Montgomery County Record and Archives in 2011, and has held various organizational leadership positions, gaining invaluable experience in program development, fundraising, and outreach initiatives. She is actively involved in her local community, volunteering her time and expertise to support initiatives that address social issues and promote positive change. Deborah is a resolute and visionary leader known for her inclusive leadership style, fostering a culture of unity, compassion, and empowerment. She enjoys gardening, reading, spending quality time with family and friends, and finding inspiration in her faith and spirituality. She has demonstrated a strong interest in championing causes that promote assistance and the well-being of all members of the community.


Curtis Tucker
Serves as the Vice President of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. He has been an Assistant Restaurant General Manager, employed with Burger King Corporation/Service Industry for the past sixteen years. He was born in Denver Colorado, and attended Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio and majored in hospitality management. He has been committed to the service industry for 44 years, specializing in the operation of many multimillion restaurant units. Curtis has a proven track record of increasing sales, maximizing profits, and creating a positive and safe work environment. His current goal is to assist the Bold Believers Community Involvement Nonprofit very successfully towards meeting the needs of our community.

Jamie Gee
Serves as the Secretary of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. She has served as the Managing Officer of the Montgomery County Office of Reentry since 2010 and has over 34 years of experience in the corrections, parole, and community reentry services arena. She began her career in criminal justice with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction in 1989. She is a dedicated pioneer with multi-faceted criminal justice, leadership, and management expertise; and possesses her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Wilmington College, and MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is currently the Vice President of the Ohio Association of Local Reentry Coalitions (OALRC) and is a member of the DYS Juvenile Reentry and Reintegration Advisory Committee. She has previously served on the advisory boards of the Sinclair Business Information Systems Advisory Committee, Greater Dayton Lawyer Project, and Dayton Mediation Center; and currently serves as a board member of NAMI of Montgomery County, and the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board. Jamie is an expert in leveraging partnerships and is committed to addressing the holistic needs of returning & restored citizens, through effective resource optimization, coordination, network, and advocacy.

Anita Bursey
Serves as the Treasurer of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. She is a Registered Nurse serving in the capacity as a Utilization Management Nurse with Kettering Health Network. Anita possesses her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Wright State University, as well as her Real Estate License from Sinclair Community College. She formerly served as a Mental Health Nurse for the Atrium Medical Center for 27 years. Anita is an effective communicator, who pays critical attention to details, is self-motivated, and task centered. She is health conscious and enjoys nature walks, bike riding and challenging word puzzles.

Sheila Smith
Serves as a member of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. She has enjoyed a 38-year career as an Intelligence Specialist with the Department of the Air Force. She is a certified GEOINT Professional and a certified GEOINT Collection Practitioner. Mrs. Smith received a Master of Public Administration degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and Political Science from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and craft-making. Mrs. Smith has called Dayton home for the past 45 years and is married to Mr. Gregory Smith.

Greg Smith
Serves as a member of the Bold Believers Community Involvement, Inc. Board of Directors. Gregory Smith served 22 years in the United States Army retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his tenure, MSG Smith was able to obtain (3) Master’s Degrees. He holds a Degree in Business and Organizational Security from Webster University. A Human Resource Management Degree from National Louis University and Public Administration from Troy State University. After transitioning from the U.S. Army, he was employed by the United States government for 17 years working in a highly secure and sensitive environment. As a civilian he completed numerous courses culminating with (5) security certifications which contributed to a successful career in Security. He is originally from Philadelphia, PA. His hobbies include walking, swimming, and an occasional bike ride. He is married to Mrs. Sheila Smith.

Lowell Harris
Is a native of Dayton, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilberforce University and has experienced a successful career in business management. He is an avid sports fan, and a dedicated community volunteer, including providing operational support to the Bold Believers Community Involvement Food Pantry initiative. He is a trustee and Treasurer for the Bold Believers Church of Christ, and dedicated servant of God. Lowell was instrumental in the planning and development of the grassroots Gem City Market in Dayton, formerly serving as a member on their Advisory Board and believes in investing in the community.
